FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
IN-HOUSE OR FLEXIBLE LOCATION
PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME

We're looking for an experienced Financial Controller to oversee the smooth running of the financial operations of Busby & Fox.

In order for this job to run smoothly and successfully, and to support the critical financial needs of our fast-growing business, we're looking for someone who can work a minimum of 3-4 days per week.

Remote working is possible most of the time if desired, but you'll need to be able to visit Busby & Fox HQ in Dartington, near Totnes (Devon) for weekly/regular meetings with our Directors and other key colleagues.

It'll be your job to add value by:

  • Maintaining company accounts through to trial balance, taking overall responsibility for the P&L and Balance Sheet
  • Owning the budgeting and accounting cycle
  • Monitoring and reporting on the stock ledger and purchases
  • Owning cash flow management and forecasting
  • Budgeting and forecasting (owning the annual budget and at least one reforecast in the year)
  • Preparing monthly management accounts with commentary and additional commercial analysis / KPI reporting as required
  • Overseeing business partnering and other ad-hoc financial analysis, including preparing business cases and financial modelling for decision support
  • Line managing the Finance Assistant and overseeing their day-to-day accounting tasks (accounts payable, bank and cash reconciliations, VAT returns)
  • Being the principal point of contact for the external accountants (responsible for statutory accounts and payroll)
  • Developing financial processes, systems and controls so that these are scalable and fit for purpose
  • Working closely with the senior leadership team, offering strategic input and insight that helps shape our success.

Key qualifications & experience required

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified or equivalent (experience of Xero would be an advantage)
  • Prior working experience maintaining books of accounts through to Trial Balance (esssential)
  • Retail experience (essential) and knowledge of Shopify (beneficial)
  • Experience producing management accounts / submitting VAT returns / ownership of budgets and forecasts (essential)
  • Working knowledge of the Google Suite of applications, in particular Google Sheets and Google Docs (beneficial).

FULFILMENT LEAD - SOUTH HAMS
PART-TIME & FLEXIBLE HOURS AVAILABLE

We're looking for a motivated Fulfilment Lead to oversee our e-commerce fulfilment team and deliver a high-class Busby & Fox experience to customers across the country.

This role offers flexible hours across 3-5 days a week and provides the opportunity to join a fast-developing area of the business with plenty of growth potential for the future.

Based in Loddiswell, near Kingsbridge (Devon)

It'll be your job to add value by:

  • Being responsible for all outgoing products related to our e-commerce channels, including picking, processing and packing orders
  • Managing our online returns platform, exchanges and incoming products
  • Overseeing customer service enquiries through online channels and delivering a first-class experience whether it's helping a customer with a return or offering styling advice
  • Taking ownership of the e-commerce fulfilment space and online stock including processing incoming stock, performing stock transfers and maintaining a clean and organised workspace
  • Working with our delivery partners, such as Royal Mail, to ensure a seamless and efficient service
  • Continually reviewing and developing all fulfilment procedures and working with the wider e-commerce team to implement new processes to improve efficiency and service
  • Leading a team of motivated and hardworking fulfilment assistants

Key qualifications & experience required

  • Customer service experience (beneficial)
  • Prior fulfilment experience of picking and processing orders (beneficial)
  • Good knowledge of general computing (required)

We're excited to be opening a new store in the heart of Farnham at the end of March 2024.

The eighth in the Busby & Fox family, we expect this store to kick off to a busy start as we bring our unique collection and experience to existing customers (we've already built up a following there!) and plenty of new ones too.

PERFORMANCE MARKETING MANAGER – FLEXIBLE LOCATION / HEAD OFFICE (TOTNES)

Our digital business is growing – fast – and we’re looking for an in-house Performance Marketing Manager to: 

  • Drive sales through customer acquisition, engagement and retention across digital channels; 
  • Design, implement and refine effective and efficient performance marketing strategies; and
  • Champion commercial savviness, experimentation, learning and iteration in pursuit of customer satisfaction and business success.

  • Developing and executing comprehensive performance marketing strategies to drive customer acquisition, conversion, and retention
  • Managing end-to-end execution of social channels, Google and affiliates, and identifying other areas of opportunity
  • Utilising data analytics tools to analyse campaign performance and identify areas for improvement based on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as ROAS, CPA, and conversion rates
  • Managing performance marketing budgets to achieve optimal ROI, monitoring and adjusting activity and spend based on campaign performance and business goals
  • Planning and implementing A/B testing and other experiments to optimise campaign performance
  • Working closely with website, brand and content teams to ensure cohesive and effective campaign messaging and creativity
  • Staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities for testing and innovation
  • Providing regular and ad-hoc reports, insights and recommendations on campaign performance to leadership and other key stakeholders.
